The Golden Compass Explorers are a secretive organization, comprised of treasure hunters who seek out ancient ruins and excavate its most valuable relics. They are led by Toma the Dwarf Chief, who can travel through time. Toma and his band of explorers have heard tales of treasure related to the story of Lurin’s Fortress. Born to an ancient dwarf royal family, Lurin formed his own force to restore the fallen Dwarven Kingdom. It was rumored that Lurin’s Fortress was built to find Lucien’s hidden power.

Now that Toma and the Golden Compass Explorers have found the hidden Fortress, Lurin was not so cooperative with the discovery. Join Toma to venture into Lurin’s Fortress to see what treasures await.

 

Event Details

  • The Golden Compass event is taking place on the Lineage II servers only.

  • The Golden Compass event begin after maintenance on August 28 and end on October 2 at 7:00 a.m. server time. Entrance Pass - Lurin's Fortress, Toma's Divine Protection, and Lucien Marks will be automatically removed from players’ inventories when the event ends on October 2.

 

How to Participate

Players can enter Lurin’s Fortress by talking to Toma who is visiting the Town of Rune with his Golden Compass Explorers.

  • The event instance is a solo instance accessible to characters level 100 and higher.

  • A character can enter the instance once per day for free

  • Players can also purchase an Entrance Pass from the L2 Store for 1 NCoin (limit one per day per account) to allow a character to enter the instance a second time during that day

The event instance consists of 15 rounds of monsters in 5 minutes and then 20 rounds in 10 minutes.

  • Monster difficulty increases with each round.

  • Tank and Healer classes will receive assistance from NPC Evelyn to help fight monsters in the dungeon.

  • Boss monster Battle Demolisher will appear after the first 15 rounds and then boss monster Lurin will appear after the second round.

  • Defeating each boss monster will award items and Lucien’s Marks. Players can earn between 15-65 Lucien’s Marks per entry with the amount determined based on how many rounds are cleared in time before the boss monster spawns. Lucien’s Marks are not tradable.

  • Completing multiple waves will spawn boss monsters with higher difficulty levels.

A mysterious herb also has a chance to drop from monsters and may randomly give one of the following buffs:

  • Increases P. Atk. / P. Def. by 10% for 1 minute

  • Increases M. Atk. / M. Def. by 10% for 1 minute

  • Increases Atk. Spd. / Casting Spd. / Speed by 30% for 1 minute
